KOKODA CHALLENGE 2012
| Date: |
26 May - 6 June 2012 |
Variety and Inspired Adventures invite you to take the trip you have always dreamt of!
Imagine reaching the heights of Mt. Bellamy and taking in the stunning panoramic
views, forging through swampy wetlands and stubborn rivers, and trekking up beautiful rainforests and cascading hills. Days later you’re experiencing a new world of exotic foods and exciting cultural celebrations as you participate in a traditional ‘Sing Sing’ village celebration in Papua New Guinea.
Right now you have the opportunity to embark on the adventure of a lifetime while helping Variety, the children’s charity to provide expert advice, life saving diagnosis, training and support using new technology that will put the power of experienced doctors and nurses virtually in the hospital room with children across Australia. For $25,000 - the cost of just one helicopter transport – you can help to put a Vision for Life hub into a rural hospital that will change the lives of an entire community.
The money you raise will fund life-saving tele-medicine equipment through Variety’s Vision for Life program. With live high definition video streaming, Variety’s Vision for Life puts specialist doctors’ skills and expert advice into regional and remote children’s and maternity hospital wards from anywhere in the world, enabling fast, accurate assessment, diagnosis and treatment of sick or injured children… a virtual hospital without walls.
