Ladies of Variety (LoV)

Ladies of Variety (LoV) are a group of women who volunteer their time to bring fun and enjoyment into the lives of ill, disadvantaged and special needs children. They organise weekday activities including picnic days at special schools, ice skating sessions, kids discos, harbour cruises, visits to historic properties, Mounted Police Training Centre, and Kids Race Day at Oran Park.

The highlight of the year - every year - is the Kids Christmas Party at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre where 5,000 children are treated to an extravaganza of amusement rides, animal farms, stage entertainment, party food, a multitude of activities and presents from Santa!

Everyone has skills and abilities or particular talents that can be utilised while volunteering: perhaps arts and crafts, initiating new projects or simply being an enthusiastic and compassionate helper.
