70's Glam Night

The now famous Variety NT wet season party went off!

Elvis rocks the 70's Glam nightVARIETY Found THEIR 70’s GROOVE

Another amazing Variety wet season party has come and gone. Bogart’s Bar and grill rocked to every groovy 70's number that you could care to remember.

This was the 4th annual February party that Variety has held. We started with the ’Valentines’ gig at Crustaceans on the Wharf. Then we dressed in the ‘V’ theme for the 'V' Party, which was the first of the Bogart’s dos. Next was the unforgettable 'Op Shop Ball', also at Bogart’s. We still hear heaps of people talking about that one.

This year the seventies theme 'went off'. I would love to have a dollar for every "groovy baby" I heard that night!

All these fab February parties help raise much needed funds to help our special kids here in the NT. It’s hard to believe what a difference this fund raising makes for the families that Variety NT support.

A special thanks to all the volunteers that helped pull the night together. And a special thanks to Deb Jones, for marshalling the troops. Kev, for spinning the Vinyl (well playing the mp3s). And thanks to Elvis for rocking the house. Elvis is not dead. He has left the building, he's on a plane back to Adelaide.

But the biggest thanks goes to the Variety supporters that made the night most memorable.
