The annual Variety Australia Day Ute Run was washed out on Australia Day, but the good news is the organisers have postponed it to Saturday 7 April. It might seem a little odd to have an Australia Day Ute Run in April, but any excuse to dress up your ute in Australiana theame is a good one.
The gates will open early at Hidden Valley with the first 100 utes directed onto the starting grid. From there it is onto the Greyhound Park for a day of celebrations.
Dress up the utes, dress up the kids, even dress up the dogs and come on down. There will be the usual muffler throwing, thong throwing and 'push the ute' competitions, along with the ever popular Jumping Castle and colouring in competition which entertains the young ones. Great trophies and prizes up for grabs again and we hope for a bigger turnout than last year.
A special highlight will be the reverse parking Challenge between Trish and the FM 104.1 boys.
