2011 Variety Vintage 

The increasing success of the annual Variety Vintage Charity Wine Auction is attributable to the wonderful support of our donating wineries, associated sponsors and the truly astonishing generosity of our guests.

For the third year, wine industry icon Jeremy Oliver not only emceed the event but also critiqued the wines for auction and along with the Advertiser's Tony Love gave the 300 guests a very informative insight into the wine industry in China.

The quality of the wines and Variety icon Peter Curtis' auctioneering expertise ensured frenzied bidding and record breaking auction sales totaling an outstanding $178,000.

The Variety Vintage Concept

The Variety Vintage concept was established in 2007 and Tim Adams of Tim Adams Wines, was appointed Variety Vintage Chairman. Tim approached twelve of SA’s leading winemakers asking them to support children in need in SA by producing a barrel of their finest 2008 vintage wine.
