Every week, Variety Australia touches the lives of more than 865 children in need, helping them to live, laugh and dream.
Our donors, members, volunteers and sponsors are the ones who make this happen. Without your support and generosity none of this would be possible.
'Thank you to Jarvis Ford for inviting Toby and me to ‘Walking with the Dinosaurs’. We had an amazing time. The show was brilliant, and the Corporate Box experience was awesome.
Toby has not stopped talking about the show and asking lots of questions (thank goodness for Google).
On a personal note, as Toby’s Mum, I want to also say that the experience you have given him was an opportunity to see his difference as a positive.
It all started when he was verbally invited by the CEO at the Bash Launch; he was so excited as we had seen the adverts for Walking with the Dinosaurs on the television, and he had asked to go. This invitation was an opportunity to highlight that this was happening because other people care and acknowledge that having a difference can be hard.
Toby has a congenital left limb difference; he was born without his left arm.
I can’t thank you enough for the enormous confidence boost you have given Toby, I had a tears in my eyes watching his face watching the performance and sitting next to a new mate he had just met. He looked so happy - not sad, frustrated or excluded.
Thank you from just one of the families that had an outstanding time. I had to let you know what a huge impact this has had on us.'
