Jasmin

Variety Freedom Program

Freedom JasminJasmin is five years old and has a left below elbow amputation. Jasmin has always had a body powered prosthetic; a hook, that is operated by harness and cable across her back and shoulder. As her requirements became increasingly complex a myoelectric prosthesis was necessary to provide improved function and comfort not to mention being able to do most things of girls her age.

"We are more than thankful to Variety SA for all that they have done for us.  Our daughter Jasmin, was born with a left upper limb deficiency, whereby her arm and hand didn’t fully develop.  We feel extremely fortunate to be granted a myolectric arm/hand prosthesis (named “Lefty”),by Variety  which assists Jasmin with many activities in her day to day living.  I believe that life is like being dealt a deck of cards.  It is how you play the cards that make the difference.  Variety SA has made a huge difference in Jasmin's and our lives and it is the people who support Variety, that help to make that difference.  For that we are grateful and thank you."
