Ever thought of taking part in the Bash? Thought it was too hard?
Well it's not and there are hundreds of Tasmanians just like you who've done it, had the time of their lives and helped countless special-needs children.
Entry into the Bash is limited to those who have enough cunning, resolve, determination and intelligence to persuade sponsors, family and friends to come up with a suitable amount of donations, made payable to Variety the Children’s Charity Tasmania.
Participants must have a big heart, a sense of humour, and a thick skin which can tolerate the dust, the mud, the hot, the cold, the rain, the snow and a temperament that can survive without television and telephones!
Entry Fees:
2013 Entry Fee $330 inc gst.
A Meals and Entertainment provision fee of around $500 for a full 8 days is payable for each person travelling in the Bash, and covers meals, merchandise, entertainment and incidentals.
Accommodation and fuel are at participant’s own expense.
Minimum Donation:
The 2013 Minimum Donation is $4,700.
Bash Cars:
Bash cars must be 30 years old or older at the time of entry, although special consideration will be given to themed vehicles. They must be non-performance modified, but in the interests of safety, Bash vehicles may be modified to achieve improved braking and the like. All vehicles must have current registration and be compliant with the rules of the road in Tasmania.
Bash cars should be designed to be attention grabbing, weird and wacky jalopies. The wilder and wackier the better. Special thought should be given to a theme which will appeal to the children we visit in all parts of the State.
Rules and Regulations:
All Bash cars need to comply with the Variety Bash regulations which includes having Bash cars pass the Bash Checks (an independent review of Bash car features). This form is provided in the entry pack or on request.
