Variety caring for kids program
Providing essential medical and health equipment to care for kids at home, in the community and in hospital.
The Variety caring for kids program helps parents care for their ser
iously ill children at home with essential equipment such as nebulisers, insulin pumps, cough assist machines and more.
We also work in conjunction with regional hospitals and other children’s organisations to fund major projects.
Past grants include:
- $100,000 to the refurbishment of the Adolescent Unit at the Royal Hobart Hospital
- $25,000 to the Launceston General Hospital’s Playground Rescue Appeal
Variety Tasmania also visits the children’s wards at the major hospitals throughout Tasmania at Easter and Christmas, giving gifts and bringing joy to children unfortunate enough to be in hospital at these times of celebration.
Variety pays for the purchase of equipment, ensuring that one hundred percent of every dollar we provide goes where it is most needed.
