Variety Scholarships recognise the inspirational talents of Tasmanian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.

Variety Tasmania has supported children with special needs, assisting them to pursue their singing and dancing dreams, providing literary software and funding a specialised wheelchair which enabled a young paraplegic to represent Tasmania in wheelchair sports.  The Scholarship Program ensures all children have the opportunity to develop their skills and talents, whilst fulfilling life goals.

Applications are open to young people who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs, and are aged 18 years or younger and Scholarship funding generally runs from 1 January to 31 December each year, with the annual nomination round usually opening in October and closing in early December.
