In August 2011, the first Variety Regional Committee was established in Bendigo.

The committee has been extremely proactive since its inception and in the first few months of operation they conducted a bike presentation and held a Santa Fun Run that coincided with the lighting of the Downtown Bendigo Christmas Tree at Rosalind Park. 

Anne Henshall, who is a Variety Board Member is heading up the Bendigo Regional Committee and is well supported by a group of six volunteers who make up the committee.

In 2012, the committee is looking at establishing its own Suits Club Luncheons for local business people.

It is important for Variety that we have a regional committee to help us grow our work with children and it is hoped that the successful establishment of the Bendigo Regional Committee will see other regional committees develop in the future.
