Vito Interlandi

Vito Interlandi is a Director of Business Advisory Services. He has over 20 years of finance expertise and management experience, which he has gained from both corporate public practice and private practice.
Vito has also worked with the establishment of unlisted companies, ranging from IT to consulting, and assistance with raising capital, and their ultimate listing on the ASX. He has been on the Variety Board of Management since 2006.
Outside of accountancy, Vito also likes to spend time gardening, cooking, reading a good book and spending time with his family.

David Rayner is a Director of RSP Automotive & Industrial Pty Ltd & Rare Spares Pty Ltd and has been a long standing Variety supporter. His service to the children’s charity includes 9 years as a Board Member and 14 years on the Variety Bash Committee, including 5 years as Variety Bash Chairman. David has participated in 24 Variety Bash events, including 3 international events.
David was awarded a Variety International Presidential Citation in 2002 in recognition of his dedication to Variety. In 2012, David was inducted into the Order of Australia, receiving an Order of Australia Medal in the General Division principally for his service to charity.

Gillian Hund

Originally trained as a teacher working in both Australia and overseas with primary aged children with special needs, Gillian then turned her interests to publishing and established Copeland Publishing Pty Ltd with a business partner in 1989.
‘Sydney’s Child’ was the first parenting title launched and the company has since grown to a national newspaper business publishing six parenting titles which have a total circulation of over 450,000 papers per month, Australia wide.
Gillian brings to the board not only a wealth of Marketing and Public Relations knowledge but also an insight of the lives of children with special needs and their families, through her teaching experience. She has been on the Board since 2007.

Joe Barber
Joe Barber is founder and CEO of Modapt as well as founder and Director of Third Screen Media; two organisations involved in the mobile web and mobile marketing industries respectively and both with operations and activities in over 9 countries.
Joe is also a strategic advisor to a number of start-up technology firms and provides guidance on the journey from "inception to liquidity". Joe has been involved in technology for over 30 years including founding and raising capital for a number of start-ups and managing regional operations for some of the world's major technology players.
Joe has had vast international experience with long periods in the North American market, distribution of products throughout Asia and Europe and a business in Malaysia. He travels regularly to world conferences and is a regular speaker on technology as well as a respected monthly contributor for Marketing Magazine sharing his insight and ideas.

David Cornwell
David is a senior corporate lawyer with over 20 years practising experience in Australia, Asia and New Zealand.
David has previously been a partner of a large Australian law firm and, a partner of a leading US firm based in Singapore, and was of Counsel with a prominent New York law firm. David has spent a number of years practising in Asia based from Singapore.
He has extensive Australian and international experience in general corporate law, projects, financing, corporate advisory and private equity transactions.

Richard Symon
Richard is co-founder and Chair of the Financial Services Foundation Ltd, a supporter and partner of Variety in raising funds for children’s charities. Established in 2003, the Foundation hosts the annual “A Monetary Affair” ball, Melbourne’s charitable event for the stockbroking community.
Richard has 25 years experience in stockbroking and is currently Executive Director of ASX listed MDS Financial Group. Richard was the CEO of NSX Ltd, the operator of the National Stock Exchange. Richard has served in executive roles with SDIA (now Stockbrokers Association of Australia) and Prudential-Bache Securities. He co-founded and was CEO of Sharetrade Australian Stockbroking which was sold to PBL’s listed subsidiary eCorp.
Richard is a Fellow of Finsia, Affiliate of SAA and was a Member of the Australian Stock Exchange.

Claire Heaney
Claire Heaney is a senior Melbourne print journalist, having cut her teeth at country newspapers in Ballarat and Geelong before shifting to Melbourne in 1989.
She has written for Australia’s best-selling newspapers in each state and has complemented her writing and editing career with stints lecturing and mentoring in journalism.
Claire, who holds a Graduate Diploma in Media Law and Communications from the University of Melbourne, also freelances on parenting and travel issues.
In recent years she has branched out into public relations and communications, providing strategic planning for niche small businesses.
Since childhood, having been instilled with strong community values, she has been an active participant, volunteer and supporter of not for profit causes.

Craig Dent, MBA, FAIM, MAICD
Craig is the General Manager - Client Services of the State Government owned State Trustees, located in Melbourne, Australia.
Craig Dent is an award-winning senior executive within the Financial Services, Transport, Utility and Telecommunications industries and has been a leading force behind transforming immature and unsustainable operating models into profitable and customer-focused successes.
Craig has lectured at universities and spoken by invitation internationally in the areas of Leadership, Transformation, Management, Operations, Social Enterprise, Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Change, Consulting, Innovation and Engagement.
In 2009, Craig was recognised by the Australian Institute of Management for his contribution to the Australian business community - becoming an AIM Fellow. The following year, he won the 2010 International Exemplary Leader Award from the Chair Academy for advances in Academic and Administrative Leadership and in 2011 was appointed as an Ambassador to Australia’s multicultural and multilingual broadcaster, SBS.
Craig holds a Masters in Business Administration [MBA] from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship at Swinburne University, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.

Michael Kelly
Michael is currently the Regional Sales Manager for Paris / Chicago based Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies for Victoria, Queensland & New Zealand. He was the incident controller for the Brisbane Floods, Christchurch Earthquake and other national responses, coordinating water underground networks and condition assessments.
Michael is a former director of Children First Foundation and committee member and former President of Rotary North Melbourne. A member of Rotary International since 1995, he was Rotary New Generations (Youth) Chairman for six years, running youth programs and forums.
Michael was involved with Variety as a Variety Bash entrant from 2000 for five events and also a five time Variety Brats’ Bash entrant with wife Jenny and children Nicholas & Alysha and a Variety Bash Volunteer Official (OV4) with wife Jenny, since 2008.

Nicholas Pullen
Nic is a partner of HWL Ebsworth lawyer practising in all areas of the media, entertainment and communications industries. This involves all types of commercial, strategic and litigation advice.
Over the years, his work has involved the establishment and maintenance of a number of charities and organizations associated with the arts. The type of clients in such a practice are diverse ranging from major corporations and publicly listed companies, to politicians and celebrities with even the occasional iconic koala.

Patricia Burke
Pat has experience in Human Resources management, not-for-profit boards and business consulting. Over the past 25 years in the United States and Australia, she has worked in the financial sector, government, not-for-profits and medium sized enterprises. In recent years, her focus has been on philanthropy through roles in grant making, project and committee work for a Melbourne foundation, a philanthropic peak body, and an alumni organisation.
She has not-for-profit board and leadership experience in Melbourne in fundraising and event planning, governance, board nominations, and policy development.
Born in the United States, Pat moved with her family to Melbourne in 1998, became an Australian Citizen in 2001 and is proud to be an Aussie.
