Guardian Angel Knitting Program
1 June - 31 August
Thank you to all the Guardian Angels who helped many children in need in 2012
Each year, Guardian Pharmacy asks Australians to turn their knitting needles to a good cause by participating in the Guardian Angel Knitting Program. Thanks to the astounding generosity of our Guardian Angels, more than 2 million knitted garments have been donated to children in need over the past 14 years.
The 2012 program encourages Guardian Angels to knit warm clothes, blankets, scarves and other garments, which were then donated to children in need across Australia with the support of Variety - the Children’s Charity.
Variety - the Children’s Charity
Variety are the official charity partner for the 2012 Guardian Angel Knitting Program.
Guardian Pharmacy would like to thank Variety for their generous support and assistance in delivering the gift of warmth to children in need during the 2012 Guardian Angel Knitting Program.
Give the gift of warmth
Guardian and Variety worked together to provide winter warmth to children who need it most. Your knitted donations will be distributed across a specially selected range of Variety causes which include:
- Children and babies in shelters
- Children who are disadvantaged or with special needs
- Aboriginal communities
A purler result for 2011!
Over 98,000 woollen garments were donated to the Guardian Angel Knitting Program in 2011! The contribution that our Guardian Angel knitters make to the community each year is overwhelming, and we look forward to beating this target in 2012!
