Workplace giving is a simple cost effective way for you to support Variety and special needs children in your local community. Workplace giving allows you to make direct, pre-tax donations from your gross salary. No tax receipt and no need to wait for a tax return.
By donating to Variety through your payroll, the Government allows the immediate refund of the tax that you would otherwise have paid. You don’t even need to keep a receipt as all the paperwork is taken care of by your employer and Variety.
For example a $10 donation will actually only cost you $6.85 of pre- tax income, with the full amount of $10 still going to Variety.
How do I get started?
To begin a Workplace Giving donation, complete your employer’s payroll deduction form and present to your employer.
If your workplace doesn’t offer a Workplace Giving program, contact Variety and we will help them to set it up.
Nominate Variety Victoria as your chosen charity and specify the amount you would like deducted from your regular pay.
Your donation will then go from your employer directly to Variety in one simple transaction.
What are the advantages?
Workplace Giving is a win, win, win situation.
Employees don’t have the hassle of keeping receipts and claiming gifts through their tax return at the end of the year. Each donation made is actually larger than the cost of giving as it comes out of pre-tax income.
Employers join the growing trend of companies developing Corporate Social Responsibility programs. Employees, clients and customers know that you workplace is community minded and committed to supporting the local community.
Variety Victoria will receive a steady stream of income with virtually no administration costs which further enables Variety to impact the lives of special needs children across Victoria.
