The Variety Difference

While the individual programs we provide may not be unique, the breadth of our support for children is unmatched.

We understand that no two children’s situations are the same. That’s why we’ve created a wide range of programs designed to meet every aspect of a child’s journey, addressing both immediate and long-term needs.

We help children access the care and support they need from essential health equipment and therapy to well-being and family assistance. We’re here to ensure no child misses out on the support they deserve, filling the gaps where other systems fall short.

We give children with disabilities the tools to navigate their world independently. Whether through adaptive mobility devices or access to social opportunities, we empower children to thrive, helping them play, learn and experience the joys of childhood.

We equip children for long-term success through education, skills development and community support. By providing access to quality education and learning resources, we open doors to opportunities that help children grow, thrive and build a brighter future.

Individual Grants

We provide life-changing support to children and families facing physical, mental, or emotional challenges. Through our grants programs, we fund essential items that help children aged 0–18 access the care, support and resources they need to thrive - items such as medical and mobility equipment, communication devices, therapy services, medical assessments, educational tools, sensory resources and technology.

Organisational Grants

Variety supports schools, not-for-profits and community groups through grants that enhance programs and environments for kids who need it the most. These grants can include funding for inclusive education resources, mobility and therapy equipment, assistive technology and sensory or recreational tools that create more accessible and supportive spaces for all children.

Sports and Art

Scholarships

Variety enriches children’s lives by granting items and services that provide communication, education and self-esteem. Variety Scholarships support children and young people who are living with a disability, chronic illness or financial hardship and have a demonstrated talent in sport, the arts or education.

These scholarships provide funding to help them pursue their goals and reach the next stage of development in their chosen field—covering costs such as coaching, equipment, uniforms, lessons, and other essential resources. Our aim is to empower kids to follow their dreams and reach their full potential.

Educational and Developmental

Programs

Variety runs inclusive programs designed to educate, empower and inspire children. These programs support kids in building confidence, learning new skills and feeling a sense of belonging in their communities. From active initiatives like sports days and camps to practical support like financial literacy and bike programs, we provide opportunities for every child to shine.

We also deliver school-based programs that promote disability awareness and inclusion, helping young students understand and embrace diversity through fun, interactive workshops. These programs encourage empathy and acceptance.

Experiences and Events

Bringing laughter, connection and memories for life.

Through inclusive events, activity days, and special outings, Variety helps children build independence, make new friends and enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood. From large community celebrations like Christmas parties and zoo picnics to smaller experiences such as tickets to movies, sports games or workshops—our programs are designed to create lasting memories and moments of joy for kids and their families.
