'NETS' – Newborn Emergency Transport -  is the statewide emergency service for medical retrieval of critically ill newborns, infants and children in Victoria. NETS provides advice to hospitals requesting transport of a patient too sick for care to continue in that hospital.

NETS AmbulancesVariety has provided The Women’s Hospital with two Newborn Intensive Care ambulances at a cost of $140,000 each as well as three Neonatal transport systems at $160,000 each. These transport systems are state of the art and include incubators, vital signs monitors, respirators, infusion pumps and electrical stretchers.

Caring for Kids has also provided an Outreach Education vehicle, and telemedicine equipment to for rural hospitals and a neonatal resuscitation training system to ensure education for doctors and nurses in neonatal care bith in the city and country areas, maximising the number of lives saved.
