Since 1981 Variety Victoria has been supplying worthwhile organisations with a means of transport for their special children.

We call them Sunshine Coaches because they literally bring sunshine into the lives of children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs who otherwise might be confined to their homes or schools. Sunshine Coaches transport children from special schools and other organisations to activities that enable them to interact with their friends and the community.  In most cases, the children's organisation will contribute one third of the on-road costs, Variety one third and a sponsor is sought for the final third.

Can you or your company help us get more Sunshine Coaches on the road?

Each year Variety receives many requests for Sunshine Coaches and each request is individually investigated and evaluated by our volunteer Sunshine Coach committee who are dedicated to ensuring that our generous supporters’ dollars are going to those in need.

We have more than 100 Sunshine Coaches in Victoria alone, nearly 1,000 in all of Australia. Each Sunshine Coach is evaluated annually to make sure that they are safe and in good working order.Sunshine Coaches enable companies to sponsor a vehicle that is guaranteed to be around for many years.The Sunshine Coach program is just one of the wonderful things that Variety does and probably the most visible.
