Where do the funds raised go?

All money raised through the 2017 Variety Spin 4 Kids event will be used by to support local kids with disabilities, chronic illness, geographic isolation and financial hardship.

What do we get for entering the Variety Spin 4 Kids challenge?

Other than an awesome afternoon with mates, raising money for Variety, you’ll also get:

  • Event shirts for all team members
  • Company branding on spin bike
  • Entry into event after party at Crowne Plaza Hotel
  • Entertainment throughout the day
  • Snacks and refreshments through the day
How many people can we have in a team, and can someone do the challenge on their own?

You can have up to 10 people in a team. Each person will take in turns riding the spin bike over the six hour challenge. Each team will need to develop a strategy to get through the 6 hour challenge. There is no restrictions on how many minutes or hours each rider has to do. Of course, you are more than welcome to do the challenge on your own – we’ll be there to cheer you on the day!

What happens if the event is cancelled?

The good news is, it won’t be! If Mother Nature isn’t on our side on the day, the event will be moved into the Forum Harbourside at Honeysuckle.

What do you wear?

You will need running shoes, sneakers or enclosed shoes to participate. No thongs, sandals or clip in riding shoes are permitted. Your team is encouraged to dress up and have fun with your theme. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed team. The crazier the better!! For example you might come as the super heroes, the Lance Armstrong all-stars, the clowns or the wedding crashers! Be bold!

Do we have to fundraise?

Fundraising is not compulsory but is encouraged to enable Variety to raise enough funds to support as many local kids who are living with disabilities, chronic illness, geographic isolation and or financial hardship as possible. Variety is a non-government funded charity so every urgently needed piece of equipment, therapy session, vehicle modification (and much more) that is granted is all thanks to the amazing support of people like you and your team.
