WHAT IS THE VARIETY JET TREK?

The Yamaha Variety Jet Trek is an adrenaline packed adventure on personal watercraft, travelling via some of the most amazing coastline and scenery Australia has to offer.

The Yamaha Variety Jet Trek is held each year most importantly to raise funds to empower children who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs to live, laugh and learn.

You will experience an action packed and fun fuelled week, as you motor through the Whitsundays from Airlie Beach to Mission Beach on your personal watercraft (PWC). Along the way you’ll take in sensational scenery all while raising funds for kids who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs.

In true Variety style, you can expect to experience an event jam-packed with fun, colourful moments and of course the highlights are always visits to local schools and families en-route.

If you’re an adrenaline junkie and you want to be a hero for Aussie kids in need, then the Variety Jet Trek is for you!

Since the event’s inception, Jet Trekkers have raised over $1,450,000 to give Aussie kids a fair go!

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

Every day, Variety receives requests for assistance from families who are doing it tough. The money you raise through the Variety Jet Trek will directly help children who are sick, disadvantaged and who have special needs by way of goods and services.

In the last year, we’ve been able to provide close to $1 million in grants of equipment, services and scholarships throughout Queensland thanks to your fundraising. Every dollar you raise is used immediately to help Aussie kids have a fair go.

Every $1,000 you raise can help a child who is non-verbal to communicate with iPad assistive software.

Every $5,000 you raise can help a disadvantaged child follow their dreams with a scholarship in the arts, sport or education.

Every $10,000 you raise can provide wheelchair accessible vehicle modifications to help safely transport a child with special needs in their family car.

WHAT’S INVOLVED?

A PWC entry fee is $200 including GST and is not tax deductible, refundable or transferable.

Each PWC commits to raising a minimum of $2,500 for Variety, but on average trekkers raise twice as much because of all the support you receive.

A per person provisions levy for each rider and road crew helps to cover the cost of your meals, merchandise and entertainment. The 2018 provisions levy is:

Adults: $750 before 30 April 2018; $800 from 1 May 2018

Children: $600 before 30 April 2018; $650 from 1 May 2018

Your provisions levy includes:

  • Pre-event welcome function in Airlie Beach (Sunday 3rd June 2018)
  • Lunch & dinner daily (with the exception of the lay day on Thursday 7th June)
  • Entertainment throughout the event
  • Private Whitsunday Islands charter for all road crews to join riders on the water on Monday 4th June
  • Ticket to the final night gala dinner beachside at Mission Beach
  • A Jet Trek merchandise pack

All provisions levy payments include GST and are due on or before Friday 18th May 2018.  Payment can be made in full in one transaction or via regular payment instalments. Download your payment form here.
