In 2015 variety celebrated 40-years of Helping Aussie Kids be Kids and in the process we distributed $11,993,626 worth of grants nationally, impacting 135,878 children across the country!
Children growing up with disability, serious illness or disadvantage need help from a special charity.
That charity is Variety – the Children’s Charity.
Variety works with individual families and organisations to deliver five core programs that help children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs to live, laugh and learn.
Our Freedom Program provides mobility equipment, such as wheelchairs, bikes, walkers, Liberty Swings and Sunshine Coaches so children can get out and about.
Our Caring for Kids Program provides essential medical equipment to help parents care for their seriously ill child at home and in hospital.
Our Future Kids Program provides children with intellectual or physical disabilities the equipment to assist with learning difficulties.
Our VICKIDS Scholarship Program provides children with an existing talent, who are disadvantaged or living with a disability, to achieve their full potential and follow their dreams.
Our Variety@Work Program is aimed at giving children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs the opportunity to take part in an activity or outing that they may not otherwise have the chance to experience.
In 2014, Variety distributed grants totally more than 9.7 million and supported more than 91,000 children across Australian
