Calling Kings & Queens of Spin

May 27, 2021 by nswadmin

We’re looking for Sydney’s Kings and Queens of Spin as part of our new spin bike challenge raising money to give kids in need a fair go.

Spin 4 Kids Sydney will see teams of up to 10 people compete for the royal titles in the fun, five-hour fundraising event on Friday 18 June.

A first for Sydney, Spin 4 Kids will raise money to support kids who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.

Variety Acting General Manager, David Small, said the event will bring energy and life to the city and help to reunite corporate teams as they return to the Sydney CBD.

“Like so many, we’ve been working in remote locations over the past 12 months but it’s great to see staff returning to offices and getting to know one another all over again,” he said.

“Spin 4 Kids Sydney offers a great team building exercise with groups of people coming up with a plan of attack on how they will keep the pedals spinning and how to be the team with the most kilometres recorded.”

“Of course, it’s not only about bragging rights but the chance to do something really life changing for kids in need. Variety believes in a fair go for kids and teams taking part will be helping us to deliver on our promise.”

Spin 4 Kids Sydney will take place at View by Sydney in Walsh Bay with teams taking in the beautiful harbour backdrop while energetic spin instructors and high energy music keep everyone going for the full five hours.

Teams are encouraged to dress in costume with prizes for the best dressed team, highest fundraising team and individual, best team spirit and encouragement awards, as well as the mighty KINGS and QUEENS OF SPIN.

Registrations are now open with the $650 entry fee including up to 10 people per team, one bike and access to the after party at View by Sydney.

Variety is partnering with Infinite Cycle who are supplying technology driven bikes that help to burn 20% more calories than conventional stationary bikes.

Spin 4 Kids Sydney will take place at View By Sydney on Friday 18 June from 10am – 3pm.
