This Festive Season, Harry will be able to stand tall alongside his family thanks to the support of Variety – the Children’s Charity.
Harry is eight and has Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy, which means he needs help and specialised equipment to sit up, stand, eat and communicate. Harry relies on a wheelchair to get around, but to help him stand up, which means he can stand eye to eye with his friends and family, and helps build his strength to prevent other medical problems down the track, he needed a specialised standing frame.
Harry’s family turned to Variety to help fund the frame, which mum Madeline said has made all the difference to not only Harry’s life, but for the whole family.
“Standing is something the vast majority of us take for granted, but without his standing frame, Harry simply cannot access the world in the same way as we do” his mum Madeline said.
Harry and his family, mum Madeline, dad Anthony and brothers Finn and Iggy, are all taking part to the Variety Xmas Walk in December.
They look forward to meeting everyone taking part in the Variety Xmas Walk who are helping to give Aussie kids a fair go this Christmas.
“I feel blessed to be Harry’s mum and through Harry I have met the most amazing people – people that have chosen to spend their lives helping people,” Madeline said.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, please keep on doing your good work.”
