In response to restrictions and uncertainty around interstate travel due to COVID-19, we’ve decided to relocate the 2021 Trek scheduled for 22-27 March from South Australia to Queensland.

While the event dates will remain the same, the exciting new route guarantees stunning vistas and adventure at every corner – and means less time on the road and away from work and family for those of you who call the East Coast home.

Get ready to launch your PWCs on the Sunshine Coast in Caloundra, known for its award-winning beaches. You’ll make your way north and enjoy some time at pristine Fraser Island before finishing your Trek adventure in Gladstone, the gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

No one could have imagined that when we managed to finish our 2020 Trek at the very start of this pandemic that we would need to change the 2021 location! This decision hasn’t been made lightly and we know there will be a mixture of excitement and relief, but also disappointment in not being able to head to South Australia.

Don’t worry, you’ll still get the chance to experience the epic route we had lined up for you – just not this year. The 2022 Yamaha Variety Jet Trek will have the same itinerary that was planned for 2021, Renmark to Glenelg via Kangaroo Island. By then, we are optimistic that interstate travel restrictions will no longer be hindering our survey and event plans.

I’ll be in touch with you in the coming week to check in with you, answer your questions and discuss your plans.

We’ll be updating our website and all our Trek documents in the coming weeks with this route change. In the meantime, if you know someone who wants to join you for our Queensland Trek, they can still head to varietyjettrek.com.au to sign up now.

Thank you for your commitment and dedication to giving ALL Aussie kids a fair go, and we hope that you’re staying safe and well, both physically and mentally, in these challenging times. As one big Variety family, we stand together and will get through this together.
