Planning is continuing for yet another successful Variety Bash event in 2021.

The COVID-19 situation in Queensland is continuing to evolve, with today’s announcement by the State Government that the south-east Queensland lockdown will continue until this Sunday 8 August.

The Variety Bash is scheduled to start on 30 August.  Given that is still four weeks away, at this stage we are planning to go ahead as scheduled.

We are however monitoring the situation and will advise if there are any changes, as the safety of participants is our primary concern.

We are in contact with Queensland Health, plus our team is experienced in running COVID safe events and have plans in place to do so again.

The round two scrutineering that was due to start this Saturday 7 August at the new office in Bunya will now be postponed to 14 August and will run from 9am to 1pm.

During lockdown our office will be closed, so please do not drop off your swags and other items until further notice.

Variety wishes to assure you that we are working hard to maintain this iconic and important fundraising event and will continue to keep you updated as the situation unfolds.
