Ian joined Variety Queensland in September 2016 as Finance and Corporate Services Manager, leading a team of three he is responsible for overseeing all the corporate support functions. Ian is a qualified accountant having attained the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) in Economics and Industrial Relations from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. Ian has worked in the finance departments of many diverse organisations but feels particularly motivated working for a children’s charity in the not for profit sector.
Outside work Ian’s passion is soccer, but being Scottish he still calls it “Football” and he plays on weekends in the local Brisbane leagues, he also enjoys darts, although he admits his dart board has recently started throwing them back at him and it may be time to get it serviced.
