Janet Leske is the Community Development Manager for Raising Literacy Australia after recently leaving her Partnerships Manager position at News Limited, and has had more than 20 years’ experience in the media industry. With a background in radio, Janet spent many years working for Austereo before moving to the newspaper industry. A firm believer in using her skills to benefit the wider community, Janet joined the Variety MarComms committee in 2008 before being appointed to the Board in 2012 and is currently Chair of the Scholarships Committee and Vice-Chair, Variety SA.
