On Saturday 25 August, Variety – the Children’s Charity announced that its 30th Anniversary Variety WA Bash raised over $600,000 dollars for WA kids in need.
We would like to take this opportunity to send our most heartfelt thanks to the communities that helped them along the way.
Each year, the Bash visits local schools and organisations across WA and injects funds into local communities when they stop for lunch or dinner along the way. This year the fundraisers made three school stops to entertain the kids and present them with gifts of appreciation.
The Bash can inject up to $10,000 per stop along the route, and these funds enable local community groups to do great work in improving their infrastructure or initiating projects in schools.
Bash Boss, Travis Clark said, “It means a lot to us to be able to give back to the communities that welcome and accommodate us so generously.”
“Without the support of the residents, organisations and businesses of regional Australia who welcome us so warmly each year, the largest charity motoring event in Australia would simply not be possible.”
Thank you – we couldn’t have done it without the support from the following:
CAVES MECHANICAL SERVICES AND 4WD CENTRE
BOYUP BROOK DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL P&C
LAZE AWAY HOLIDAY FARM AND CARAVAN PARK
PEEL THUNDER FOOTBALL CLUB
RAPID RELIEF TEAM
CHERYLTON ANGUS BEEF FARM
