Car 12 and the Top Gun crew have now done the Bash since 2010. I had always wanted to do the Bash at least once as part of my bucket list but I found out, once you do it, you become hooked and this year will be my sixth time on the Bash.
I have had seven different crew members who have all helped raise money for Variety. The best part of being involved is knowing we have raised money for children in need in South Australia. My Mercedes 300d has been there the whole time and only let me down once by blowing a motor but we didn’t let that stop us, so we hired a jeep in Bourke and finished the Bash to Sydney. Being involved with the Bash you become part of the Variety family who are friendly and welcoming.
