Bakers Dozen

Vehicle: Dodge AT4 Van 1966

The ‘Rai$in’ Dough for Special Kids’ Car 13 Bakers Dozen crew return yet again. Luckily, as Bakers we like getting up early – the Bash is actually a week of sleep-ins for us. ‘Pastie’ Pete (18th Bash) is joined by the real baker ‘Donut’ Darren (16th Bash) along with “How does this square drink holder work?” Noel (Virgin Baker 2016, 12th Bash).

Also joining us this year is funny man Steve ‘Sausage Roll’ Gentle (Virgin Baker, 3rd Bash). We are not sure if we have even told him yet that the ‘Is Dodge, Is Good’ Bakers van doesn’t have back doors to exit quickly – this could be a problem with his senior’s incontinence.  But he is along to make us laugh after all – and that could help….. Noel managed to break the van on Day 1 last year, but we let him come back anyway, he can’t be any worse than Pastie Pete’s ongoing complete lack of baking ability (he prefers consuming product to making it.)

The Bakers will again be distributing their scrumptious goodies along the track (well not on the ground… you know what I mean) at places and times to be announced (NOTE: products, places and times may vary…..)

We look forward, as always, to another successful year (we are still totally in awe of Rambo’s 2016 result), raising important funds for SA’s special kids.

Sponsors we would like to thank:

Not sure really, we are not very organised at time of print this year, but I reckon; ARM Contractors; Kytons Bakery Australia; Heritage Fencing; Envirosweep; Qube Ports; Incitec Pivot Fertilizers; Stevens Bulk; Bay Of Shoals Wines; MLC and anyone else who helped!
