Car 1332
Well its the first year for us rookies and were proud to jump in on behalf of our town!
Crewed by 4 of the areas finest (well according to us) and powered by the pioneering town’s business community’s support we are proud to do our bit for the kids.
With our big ” Swan” on the bonnet we wanna take our town to the people and even more importantly raise some much needed funds for families in our region that need a hand up.
We are strutting out the Swan Hill area logo, trying to showcase our region being a town-driven entry.
To be completely honest raising the money has been a buzz and to think we can help out is great. But the trip will be a hoot, looking forward to stretching the legs on the old 308 and making some new mates!
As mates we had discussed many times about looking for something philanthropic to get involved with and we think Variety fill a critical hole in the system for families who need help. So with the kind help of fellow business people here we are.
Meet the team...
Paul Gadsden (Crew Captain) – a self confessed control freak who will probably do most of the driving ’cause he can’t sit still.
Terry Jennings – Head of more boards than Bill Gates, pretty much on holidays for a living, so the Bash is really just another day in paradise for him.
Mark Fletcher – Put the car together, so by Day 3 we’ll probably have some issues. Mark reckons there are 3,765 TABs between Melbourne and Fraser Island and he want to see them all.
Russ Parkes – Quiet achiever amongst a lot of loud mouths in this crew. He doesn’t say much but will be in charge of crowd control at functions to keep the lads safe.
Where do they hail from?
Car 1332 is an entry on behalf of a proud Mallee town called Swan Hill in Northern Victoria.
Playing cloak and dagger...
Theme for our crew is still under wraps – we would like to tell you, but we’d rather save it for the official start!
