Car 142 is the second car in the Elvis team, alongside Car 141.
Car 142 is a 1981 Ford XD Fairmont station wagon running a 351 V8.
Rob was part of the 141 crew for the last 2 years and decided to expand the Elvis team, in conjunction with David Hobbs, by running another car. Most of the crew of 8 live and work in the Warragul area except Rob who lives in Lakes Entrance, and David Hore and Martin Hills who live in Melbourne.
Rob met the Elvis crew whilst participating in the Bash as an official for 3 years with Ambulance Victoria. The Elvis guys are a great bunch and developed a camaraderie.
Rob got to know many of the bashers and was impressed with the way Variety helps kids who are facing some of the biggest challenges life can throw at them.
The best things about the bash are the participants, entrants, officials and support crews. ‘Travelling around Australia and meeting people on the way is also a lot of fun,’ Rob says.
Rob is a self-confessed car tragic and loves old cars.
