The Tribe is Back Again!

Andy Connolly started participating in the Variety Vic Bash in 1996 with a 1996 HR Holden S/Wagon.

He didn’t know much about Variety and the Bash until he went to a few meetings and now he’s hooked by the great work that Variety do for kids in need. Andy also values the great friendships that he has formed since joining.

He is now on to his third bash car – the second being a 1968 Pontiac, and the current one being a 1982 Ford F100 (ex Ambulance). Complete with F250 running gear, 351 engine, C6 auto, dual fuel and rigged out with 2 swing down beds – so he can use it for fishing trips on the Murray/Oven rivers.

Andy’s co-pilot is Bash veteran Tom Tully, who joined the Bash in 1992, making it Tom’s 23rd Bash this year!

Car 3840’s theme this year (which they have used a couple of times previously is India (aka Punjabi Tribe). We have had quite a few requests to revisit this theme by fellow Bashers ever since the first time they donned their outfits.

Apparently everyone loves their choice of music?

Regardless, the crew of Car 3840 are raring and ready to hit the road for the 2018 Variety Vic Bash to Townsville!

That's HOW MANY?

This year Andy Connolly will blast off on his 20th Variety Vic Bash!

Did you know?

Tom’s original Bash ride was a Red Ford Mainline (also ex Ambulance) named ‘Thirst Aid’.

They're Ideas Men...

Over the years (with different crews) Car 3840 has won a Best Theme Award with Robin Hood & his very merry men, and also The Overall Winner with Monty Python – Holy Grail.
