“Knock knock – Who’s there?” “Who is going ’round again?” No, these are not trick intellectual questions as we first thought but, please tell us the answer as we are genuinely confused!
”Surely you can’t be serious but don’t call me Shirley ” Understandably absolute gold and one example of our endless material, always fresh, that we intend to relentlessly share with ALL our fellow Bashers. Similarly, we will again play our Dr Who theme music at the max on continuous loop for ALL to enjoy (you know who you are Di). We are proud to again support Variety SA via the annual Bash = 7th Tardis run for Mo (“he’s our leader you know!”) and 6th for Curly & Larry.
A year’s fundraising, all for the kids, culminates on August 12th when we join our Vivacious Beneficent Variety Bashers (try saying that in a hurry late at night!) at Mount Barker. We are readied. We will warm our tyres weaving side to side down the road during our warm up lap while revving our engine to the max as we excitedly anticipate the green light and the phrenetic start to the 2017 Race* (*Editor: after counselling and mandatory shock treatment they now realise how wrong this is!).
Throughout the year, the Doctors have held numerous functions, snag and wine sales (not together!), quiz night while continually rattling our tins (in true Hoggie’s style) at the footy, the Mundine/Green disagreement (a very generous mob) and we sincerely thank our loyal Sponsors: ADELIN , AHD (SA), CREST CONSTRUCTIONS, CROWNCO, CMI Toyota, CIVILTECH DBYD SA-NT, Riverside Lawn and Gardens Services, ROCLA Pipe, Stylez Hair Salon and of course, our family and the generous SA public who readily support Variety.
We anticipate more memorable Bash highlights this year – not only the glorious scenery, fabulous tracks and super-duper companionship (technical term) but we are privileged to witness many presentations to worthy disadvantaged kids or charitable organisations scattered around this great country. An honour to be involved in such a great cause!
