CAFE 96

Vehicle: International Fire Truck AB150 1964

WE MADE IT!   2016 saw Carmine & Diane (alias Manuel & Lady Di) and the infamous ‘Café  96’ complete their 25th consecutive Bash – Yoo Hoo! Yipee!  We are so very grateful to Fairy & the late Tom Matters for roping us in 1992.  We thoroughly enjoy life with our Variety family & can’t imagine life without the Bash.

After a hilarious time last year being on tour with Mr Willson , he’s she’s back!  Look out MW’s.

We are delighted to welcome a virgin, Tim Kowalick, from Australian DNA, who thinks he knows what he’s in for!

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors -each year along the tracks Café 96 provides entrants, locals & landowners with real cappuccinos (proudly made with the finest blend coffee from local Coffee World), Coopers Pale Ale, Carmine’s Sparkling Shiraz and Safries Hot Chips.

THANKYOU to:

– Guy & Liz Adams – Brothers In Arms Winery (previously of Car 01 The General Lee) for their    continued support both on and off the track and for their generous donations of wine.

– Cronin Mechanical Services for hours of TLC to 96 ensuring she makes it through the event.

– MW’s for miraculously keeping Café 96 mobile despite some enormous challenges on the track during our two and a half decades.

Thank you all!

Well done to everyone involved in whatever capacity and we look forward to catching up with you during Bash Week!  We wish Rambo and his team a sensational and record-breaking 2017 event.  A huge THANYOU to Tim & Pam Adams for their enormous generosity and support of Variety SA – the kids need us, so keep on Bashing!  Cheers!
