Car WHO - 'Dr WHO' (2019)

Theme: Dr WHO

Car: 1971 Ford Falcon XY Station Wagon

Crew: Chris Reynolds, Geoff Reynolds, Russell Thomas

Bio: WHO is proud again to be involved in the 2019 Variety SA Bash following it’s debut at the 2009 National Bash. Chris, an original WHO, will celebrate his 10th, Rusty his 3rd, whilst Geoff our current ‘temp’ ticks off 9. A year’s fundraising, all for the kids, will culminate again in August 2019, when we join fellow Bashers at Mawson Lakes. WHO knows whether we will be on time?

In 2018, the TARDIS needed to replace a blown motor in the last week (thanks to ‘Rusty Nuts’) just to make the start line. Then blown tyres and stuffed auto-trans (just outside Cooper Pedy) meant WHO had to hire a replacement TARDIS just to make North Well Station and the finish line in Port Lincoln! WHO particularly thanks our Bash Chair Sandra ‘Boss’ Lukin, the marvellous backroom team RAD1 Wayne Richards, MW1 Geoff Kilford, Richard Lloyd (and all other MW’s involved), OV15 Michael Matthew, Richard Elkhoury and plane, Cochrane’s, Adelaide Coach Captain Roger, George Belperio and his catering team and the mighty Team Avengers (Cars 98 and

99) for their kindness in transporting WHO and The TARDIS home separately! In 2018, WHO was LAST at the Adelaide start line, listed LAST in the magazine and finally, the LAST Bash car (in our hired ute) into Port Lincoln (is it still a race?) but always, the Variety Family and children come FIRST!

Throughout the year, WHO has held functions, quiz night and bowls, raffle, Casino bingo fundraising and continued our tin rattling (thanks to Hoggie’s inspiration) on the Bridge for the footy (reckon 100 AFL games now), Test match and Big Bash Cricket and other Adelaide Oval events that arise.

WHO thanks our super loyal sponsors and supporters:
