Our most successful way of raising funds is to demonstrate, by way of images and stories, how donations are making a positive impact on the lives of children. Pictures say a thousand words, and there is nothing more powerful than seeing the beautiful smiles of children we assist, or meet along our travels, and sharing these images with our supporters.

We greatly appreciate your help by agreeing to the use of materials and helping us to spread the word about the work of Variety – the Children’s Charity. Please also read and sign the terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions

Consent to Participation
I consent to, on behalf of my child and myself to Variety:
• Taking or using my child’s photo or image or making a film / video /or sound recording of me or my child’s voice
(materials); and
• Using, re-producing, communicating, printing, exhibiting or distributing the Materials (in full or in part) in any
formats and all media known currently or that may be devised in future.
Use of Materials
I agree that:
• The materials may be edited at Variety’s sole discretion;
• I or my child is not entitled to any remuneration for the use of the materials;
• I or my child will not seek copyright ownership of the materials
• Variety may use my child’s name, likeness and the materials for promotional and fundraising purposes.

Acknowledgement of Use
I acknowledge that this agreement permits Variety to use the materials Australia wide, in all forms of media
including:
• On Variety’s website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube or other social media sites (whether in existance at
the date of this consent or that may be available for use at any future time);
• On Variety partners and sponsors websites, social media, newsletters, media relations and other marketing and
fundraising.
• In Variety’s printed materials such as its annual report; brochures, newsletters and flyers; advertising, marketing
and fundraising materials and,
• In videos, television and all forms of electronic, digital and / or internet based material.

Revocation of Consent
• Consent to Variety’s use of the materials may be revoked upon my providing 1 month’s written notice to
Variety. After the giving of that notice Variety Qld will not authorize or permit the printing or publication of
any new publications using the material, however I acknowledge and agree that Variety Qld is not obliged or
required to remove from publication or circulation any materials approved for publication prior to the giving
of the notice, and further that acknowledgement extends to Variety’s corporate and fundraising partners for
whom use of the material was approved before notice of withdrawal of consent was given.
• If my consent is withdrawn, I acknowledge that Variety is under no obligation to destroy, delete, withdraw or
recall the materials in existence at the date my consent is withdrawn.

Release
• On behalf of my child and myself , I agree to release Variety from any claim by me or my child arising out of the
materials and/or my child’s appearance in promotional campaigns in which the materials are used.
Collection of Personal Data
• I authorise Variety on my behalf and on my child’s behalf to collect and process our personal information held
in connection with our dealings with Variety and in accordance with Variety’s privacy policy which can be found
at variety.org.au

Miscellaneous
• I confirm that I have full authority to enter into this agreement and I understand the nature and subject matter
of this consent and the manner in which the materials are likely to be used.
