In the dazzling world of beauty pageants, the spotlight often shines brightest on the glitz and glamour of the stage. However, behind the scenes, Miss World Australia contestants are proving that true beauty radiates from within through their inspiring “Beauty with a Purpose” initiative. These remarkable women are not only vying for a crown but also dedicating their time and efforts to make a difference for kids in need by fundraising for Variety.

One standout example is Madeline Braun-Marziac’s recent Fashion Fundraiser Runway event. This evening of immersive entertainment brought together models, designers, and industry professionals for a great cause. Attendees were treated to a runway show, silent auction, networking opportunities and an array of prizes to be won including exclusive designer fashions. This event has made Madeline the highest fundraiser so far in the 2024 competition.

Another shining star is Charlotte Fung, who partnered with the Calamvale Lions Club to host a successful ‘Varietea’ high tea fundraiser event (see photos below). She has also shared her journey as a guest speaker at the Lions Club of Brisbane Chinese and the Rotary Club of Sunnybank Hills, and participated in interviews with 4EB Studios and SBS Cantonese. Charlotte is currently the fourth highest fundraiser, and her efforts to spread Variety’s cause within local communities has been nothing short of remarkable.

In the recent Miss World Australia preliminary finals, Queensland participants showcased their passion for philanthropy, with many advancing to the finals. The top four current highest fundraisers are all Queenslanders!

Looking ahead to the upcoming finals, these dedicated women are determined to continue their fundraising, knowing their efforts extend far beyond the quest for a crown.
