Day 8

Oakey to Mt Malakoff

3-year-old Kaiden and his family, were out nice and early to see the cars off as they headed out of Oakie.

Kaiden lives with severe Autism, SPD, ADHD and severe speech and language delays. Travelling was once a challenge as he was able to undo all harness and lap seat belts on a standard child’s car seat. This meant he would get out of his seat whilst travelling, posing a huge safety risk. Earlier this year Kaiden received a Carrot 3000 Car Seat worth $4742 from Variety. This specialised car seat will suit him until he is 15 years old and is fitted with an anti-escape harness to keep him in his seat.

Next up, the Bashers called into Cecil Plains State School to say g’day to the 60 students who were pretty chuffed to get out of class and spend time with some cool cars and characters.

The kids at Milmerran State School and Wheatvale State School also enjoyed switching up their usual class timetable for a chance to meet the colourful crews

Following a long day of driving, the Bashers arrived in Mt Malakoff, the property of Australian country music singer, James Blundell. The venue was made completely from scratch to create the perfect mini concert and campgrounds, where the Bashers were treated to a special performance from James himself in front of an awesome bonfire.
