Runaway Bay Lions Club, in collaboration with Runaway Bay Centre, recently hosted their annual Easter Raffle in support of Variety. Through the generous contributions of the shopping public, prize donations from local traders and the Runaway Bay Centre management, and support from Bunnings Arundel, the event raised an impressive $2000.
But thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the club they donated $3,500 to support the Variety Kids Sports Camp which is being held right in their backyard, on the Gold Coast.
The event not only raised vital funds but also helped to rally community support for Variety’s mission. By coming together to support the cause, community members were inspired to create positive change and continue making a difference in the lives of local kids facing challenges due to illness, disadvantage or disability.
We want to thank the Runaway Bay Lion’s Club along with the Gold Coast community for their support of the Variety Kids Sports Camp, giving kids living with a disability the opportunity to connect with sport in a safe and inclusive environment.
