Fundraisers from High Street Underwriting Agency have raised an impressive $93,000 for Variety and kids in need. This incredible effort will help countless children in need by providing them with essential equipment, programs and experiences.

The New Zealand Trek saw participants embark on a 5 day journey, covering over 73km of breath-taking New Zealand terrain. Each day brought new challenges, from rugged coastlines to lush rainforests, but the team remained determined and committed to raising funds for the cause.

On the first day of the trek, the team drove from Queenstown to Te Anau. They took a Fiordland Jet Boat across Lake Manapouri before walking along 8km of the Kepler Track. The next day they tackled approximately 12km along the Milford Track and were rewarded with a stunning mountain view and the appearance of fur seals and dolphins.

On day three they conquered 14km on Routeburn Track up to breathtaking views of New Zealand’s glaciers and mountain ranges. The final day had them trekking up a challenging 4km hike and scramble up to the top of the snow-capped summit at Luxmore Hut. They scrambled 4km from the summit back down and then trekked a final 8km stretch through stunning rainforest on the Kepler Track. On the ferry back, 3 trekkers jumped into a freezing lake to receive a $3,000 donation to the cause.

Overall, the New Zealand Trek was an incredible effort by High Street Underwriting Agency and their supporters, showcasing the power of community and generosity. The impact of their efforts will be felt by kids who need it most all year round. If you’d like to support the cause, it’s still not too late to make a donation.
