The Variety 4WD Adventure 2023 began its exciting journey from the heart of Canberra on Wednesday 8th November. The action-packed 10 day adventure to the Yarra Valley, via the Victorian High Country, lived up to its promise to be nothing short of extraordinary. This adventure’s route took participants through breathtaking landscapes, providing a unique opportunity to experience Australia’s natural beauty while making a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of kids in need.
The Variety 4WD Adventure is an iconic event that combines the thrill of off-road exploration with a commitment to fundraising for a great cause. The 2023 event had over 100 participants and 50 vehicles that traversed over 1540kms through mud, rivers and dust.
Each team committed to raise a minimum of $5,000 in the lead up to the event, however numerous teams raised more through their dedicated fundraising efforts. Whether turning sausages at the local Bunnings or asking friends and neighbors for a donation, the good-hearted adventurers delivered over $329,995 collectively for kids who are sick, disadvantaged, or living with a disability.
Even after the adventurers returned home, the positive impacts of their efforts continue. Their fundraising will be used throughout the year by Variety to deliver more grants, programs, scholarships and experiences to kids in need.
