On 10th and 11th June, the Ballroom at Country Club Tasmania will be transformed into a veritable Aladdin’s Cave enabling people to purchase pre-loved quality books, games, puzzles, CDs and DVDs at the Variety Monster Book Fair.
Not only will visitors be able to look for their favourite authors and explore new interests, they will also know that the money raised at the Variety Monster Book Fair will be used to assist Tasmanian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.
During the last month, wonderful people from the length and breadth of the State have donated items especially for the Fair. Luke Doyle, State Manager of Variety Tasmania is thrilled by the level of support shown during the development of this initiative.
We have been astounded by the generosity of Tasmanians wanting to help and we now have 1,000’s of books as well as hundreds of DVDs and a wide selection of CDs, games and jigsaw puzzles for people to buy” says Luke. “The quality of donated items has been incredible and whether shoppers’ interests lie in fiction or fantasy, cooking or crafts, gardening or geography, to name but a few, there will be something for everyone at the Variety Monster Book Fair.
