In less than a week from now cyclists will congregate in the grounds of the Longley Hotel ready to undertake the Mt. Wellington Challenge. This spectacular time trial, which will take place on Sunday 6 March, is widely regarded as an ‘iconic’ feature on the cycling calendar. Covering a distance of 21.3km and an ascent of 1,167m, the Mt. Wellington Challenge is often referred to as ‘Australia’s Toughest Time Trial.’

Coordinator and lead supporter of the event Collins SBA is proud to be associated with the Mt. Wellington Challenge. “Supporting cycling through the Mt. Wellington Challenge is our way of putting back into the community. And what better way to do this than to encourage people to get on a bike, get fit, challenge themselves and support a worthy cause at the same time”, commented Jonathan Elliot of Collins SBA.

Proceeds from the Mt. Wellington Challenge will be donated to Variety the Children’s Charity of Tasmania.

Whether a rider wishes to race the clock, beat a personal best, chase the King of the Mountain or simply make it to the pinnacle, anyone with a bike and a reasonable level of fitness that wants to step outside their comfort zone is encouraged to have a go.
