Both live with Muscular Dystrophy
James, aged 10 and Brittany, aged 14 are remarkable siblings. Both live with Muscular Dystrophy and use powered wheelchairs independently for mobility.
Wishes were granted
As keen Boccia players, James and Brittney were selected to represent Tasmania in the 2016 National Boccia Titles held in Sydney. Through the Variety Tasmania Scholarship Programme, James’ and Brittany’s wishes to compete were granted.
Thanks to their scholarships, contributions were made to the costs of travelling to Sydney and participation in this prestigious event.
Inspirational talents
The Variety Scholarship Programme recognises the inspirational talents of eligible Tasmanian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs and aims to provide opportunities for them to develop their skills and fulfil life goals within four key categories, namely the arts, sport, education and business.
