Variety – The Children’s Charity of WA, is calling on Perth residents to give generously to kids in need this June.
Thanks to an anonymous donor, everyone who makes a donation will double their impact, meaning more children will receive much needed support.
This year’s special appeal will be showcased by 6PR on Wednesday 4 June during a special live broadcast from Dome Deep Water Point from 5am-1pm.
Variety WA Chief Executive Officer, Chris Chatterton said the Double the Magic appeal will make a big difference to WA children: “We are incredibly fortunate to be able to help more kids access life changing equipment through this appeal, with huge thanks to an anonymous donor who will double all donations received throughout June.
“People can come along to Dome for the morning, and be one of the first to enjoy one of the 50 free coffees, enjoy Dome’s winter menu and see the 6PR team in action.
“The much-loved John Burgess will be doing giveaways during the broadcast and Variety WA will have some of its iconic fundraising cars on display.” He said.
For 50 years Variety in Australia has been helping to meet funding gaps and provide mobility equipment, therapy focussed play equipment and communication devices to children living with disability, chronic illness or experiencing disadvantage, as well as running a range of programs that positively change the lives of children across the country.
