Variety WA Individual and Community Grants

Our grants program is currently being refreshed and will reopen under a new funding model in the coming months, designed to remove barriers and make it easier for families to access the support they need.

If your child is living with illness, disability or disadvantage, Variety WA can help by funding essential items that improve everyday life, independence and participation.

We provide practical support for things that are critical to your child’s quality of life – including equipment, mobility aids and other essentials that are often not funded or not eligible under the NDIS or other Government programs, helping children live, learn and thrive.

Items you can apply for could include:

Variety Community Grants

Variety Community Grants assist organisations working directly with WA kids who live with sickness, disadvantage and disability by providing equipment to support inclusion, education, independence and joy. We give grants to schools, not for profits and community groups. These can include things like therapy-based play equipment, accessible playgrounds, vehicle modifications

Variety Individual Grants

We can provide practical equipment to help WA kids develop and thrive, access the community and support hobbies and wellbeing.

This could include assistive technology for:

  • Communication
  • Learning
  • Behavioural regulation; and
  • Safety.

We can help cover the cost of items that promote:

  • Behavioural regulation
  • Physical development
  • Independence
  • Wellbeing; and
  • Social inclusion.

Variety EduKids Grant

Variety EduKids Grants provide funding to schools to help purchase essential ‘back to school’ items for students experiencing extreme hardship financially, geographically or socially.
