Variety Livvi’s Place Lt Cantello Reserve is now at draft concept design phase. Community consultation earlier this year gave Liverpool City Council plenty of positive and constructive feedback which helped to guide this design. Council is now pleased to present a draft concept plan of the Variety Livvi’s Place playground which you can view here. The playspace is inspired by the local Georges River and invites you to take a journey through the key habitat islands where plants and animals live!
Council invited residents and interested members of the public to provide feedback on the draft concept plan by completing the survey here. The survey was open until 31 May 2020. Final concept designs are expected shortly.
The Liverpool City Council, in partnership with Variety, is creating an inclusive playspace at Lt Cantello Reserve. This new inclusive playspace will be a unique place where people of all ages and abilities will be able to play alongside each other. It will become a key community hub, and form part of a national network of inclusive playspaces that Variety has helped create. A Variety Livvi’s Place is an inclusive playspace for kids of all ages and all abilities to play side by side. Variety will work with the community to make an inclusive playspace a reality.
Features of the new playspace
Liverpool City Council is a recipient of Design Grant 2019. Building of the new playspace should commence in late 2020.
A community project of Liverpool City Council in partnership with Variety Livvi’s Place, we will bring together community, business, and government to create a world-leading inclusive playspace.

Help Council create this new playspace.In 2018 Variety joined forces with the Touched by Olivia Foundation to continue their work with local communities across Australia. The partnership sees the creation of more inclusive playspaces, now known as ‘’Variety Livvi’s Place”. Both organisations contributed to the NSW Government’s Everyone Can Play Guidelines, created to ensure that all playspaces are inclusive for all people, regardless of age and ability. These guidelines are the foundation of Variety Livvi’s Place at Hammondville.
