If your child is sick, disadvantaged or living with disability, Variety WA can help by providing a range of practical items where no other assistance is available. Keep reading to explore our grant categories below.

          

Variety Community Grants

Variety Community Grants assist organisations working directly with WA kids who live with sickness, disadvantage and disability by providing equipment to support inclusion, education, independence and joy.

Eligibility:

  • You must be a school, community group, organisation, NFP, NGO or similar to apply
  • Your group must work with children aged 0-17
  • The children you work with must be disadvantaged (financial, geographic or social), sick (long-term health condition) or have a disability
  • The funding you are seeking must not be available via government or alternative sources

This round of Grants will close 29th May 2023.

Variety ThriveKids Grant

Variety ThriveKids grants provide practical equipment to help WA kids develop and thrive. This includes items that promote behavioural regulation, physical development, independence, wellbeing, social inclusion and more.

Eligibility:

  • The child you are applying for must reside in WA
  • The child you are applying for must be aged 0-17
  • The child you are applying for must have a disability or sickness (long-term health condition)
  • Family household income is below the guide
  • The equipment you’re seeking funding for must not be available via government funding or alternative sources

Variety TechKids Grant

Variety TechKids Grants provide assistive technology to help WA kids with their communication, learning, behavioural regulation and safety.

Eligibility:

  • The child you are applying for must reside in WA
  • The child you are applying for must be aged 0-17
  • The child you are applying for must have a disability or sickness (long-term health condition)
  • Family household income is below the guide
  • The equipment you’re seeking funding for must not be available via government funding or alternative sources

Variety BeKids Grant

Variety BeKids grants provide practical equipment to help WA kids have a fair go. The items funded will help kids access the community, extracurricular endeavours and support their wellbeing. We provide assistance that is not accessible through government funding and alternative services.

Eligibility:

  • The child you are applying for must reside in WA
  • The child you are applying for must be aged 0-17
  • The child you are applying for must be affected by financial hardship or disadvantage, and may also have a long-term health condition or disability
  • Family household income is below the guide
  • The equipment you’re seeking funding for must not be available via government funding or alternative sources

This round of grants will close 29th May 2023.

Variety EduKids Grant

Variety EduKids Grants help WA kids receive an essential education by providing funding for vital ‘back to school‘ equipment such as stationery, uniforms, laptops, tablets and more. We offer both Individual and Community Variety EduKids Grants.

Individual eligibility:

  • The child you are applying for must reside in WA
  • The child you are applying for must be aged 3-17
  • The child you are applying for must be enrolled and attending (or will be attending) primary or high school in the application year
  • The child you are applying for must be affected by financial hardship or disadvantage
  • Family household income is below the guide
  • The equipment you’re seeking funding for must not be available via government funding or alternative sources

Community eligibility:

  • You must be a school, community group or organisation to apply.
  • Your group must work with children aged 3-17.
  • The children you work with must be affected by financial hardship or disadvantage
  • The children you work with must be enrolled and attending (or will be attending) primary or high school in the application year
  • The child’s household income is below the guide
  • The funding you are seeking must not be available via government or alternative sources.
