Amazing day out at Variety SA Kids' Easter Picnic
More than 1900 children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs, along with 900 carers and representatives from schools and organisations around the state, attended the Adelaide Zoo for the annual Variety Kids’ Easter Picnic.
Kids in attendance were entertained by the Easter Bunny, Variety Mascot, a juggler, bubbles, fairies as well as all of the resident zoo animals. They enjoyed sandwiches from Vili’s, hot cross buns from Kytons Bakery Australia, sausage sizzle donated by Rotary Club of Brownhill Creek as well as receiving bunny ears and a chocolate bunny to celebrate in true Easter style.
Thank you also to the Variety in Action committee for volunteering their time in organising these fantastic events, as well as students from Mercedes College who helped out on the day.
