Christmas Came Early for Thousands of Kids
Christmas has come early for more than 3000 children and carers at the Variety Kids’ Christmas Party and Disco over 2 incredible days at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
From dancing along to The Police Rock Band to enjoying face painting, balloon artists and photo booths, the fun didn’t stop! Kids explored an MFS fire truck, police car, the Magic Cave bus and even received a surprise visit from Santa. Every child also went home with a special Christmas gift.
A massive thank you to our generous event sponsors and supporters Adelaide Showground, Woolworths, Central Audio Visual, O’Brien Catering Group, Vili’s, Cochrane’s Transport, Golden North Ice Cream, The BOC Group, SACARE, South Australia Police, South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service, Australian Green Clean, Combined Bus Services SA, Adelaide Expo Hire and Torrens Transit for making this magical day possible.
And of course, none of it would have happened without the incredible Variety in Action Committee and our amazing volunteers.
Over on the Eyre Peninsula, 144 children, 62 carers and 22 volunteers also celebrated at the Variety Port Lincoln Christmas Party — with Santa making a special trip to spread even more festive joy!
A huge thank you to Catapult Foundation for sponsoring the event, and to the wonderful team at the Port Lincoln Hotel for going above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly. And a special shout out to The Marksmen, who delivered an unforgettable performance and had everyone in the room dancing.
Another big thank you to Ultimate Celebrations for the photo booth, along with our talented face painters and balloon artist who kept kids smiling all day.
